Primary Project:

My research is focused on developing a situated and non-inferential account of vision. In order to show that the account is as explanatorily powerful as its more popular competitors I offer models of perceptual shifts, illusions and completion in a situated framework. I show that the models are inspired and supported by evidence in cognitive psychology and neuroscience. I also look at the repercussions of my view for issues of perceptual content, representation and computation.
